I'm so glad you've found your way here. 
This blog is all about finding peace in the craziness of life. It is about Truth. It is about learning how to live life in light of who Jesus Christ is - the Living Water that can quench the thirst of our very souls.  

 So, if you find yourself feeling weary; you are not alone. 
If you have questions about life & God and the meaning of it all.... welcome to the club. You, my friend, are in good company. 
If you are wrestling in your relationships with your kids, your spouse, your co-workers, your family - I am in the trenches right along side you. 
And if you are searching for answers; for something that is true, firm, & unchanging - I hope you find some stability for your heart & mind here. 

 I am not so arrogant as to think that i have all the answers. I am well aware that I don't. Most days I am a hot mess mom who is just trying to make it through another day. To be frank,  I have toyed with the idea of writing a blog for years and just never felt that what i had to say mattered. I didn't (and still don't) want to add to the endless noise & media that is constantly bombarding us. That fear has held me back. It has kept me from using my talents and speaking truth. So please, don't let this add to the clutter of your life. I pray that it would only ever ADD depth & authenticity.

➼➼➼ The Mommy Marathon ➼➼➼ Today I feel so incredibly tired. I mean the kind of tired that makes your head feel heavy to hold up. I just want my bed.  But there are 3 little people calling me, always needing something. Just look at 'em... those sweet faces. It's hard to believe that I've been a mom for 5 years now. You know, the first few years weren't too bad. Sure, I had moments where I lost it & days that I wasn't proud of my mothering skills. But when I just had one baby, I sort of felt lost. I was a mom, but I also had lots of down time that I didn't know how to fill. And goodness' sake, I look back and wish my house could be as clean now as it was then! It was as if having just one child to care for left me with only one foot in the "mommy-hood" door so to speak. Why is everyone else okay... and I'm not?

                   I've had this sort of pit in my stomach the last couple of days. I've been browsing the news in search of some glimmer of hope that this epic & global catastrophe we find ourselves in will be on the downward slope. But instead I'm met with headlines that twist my insides. I feel almost physically sick; nauseated from worry and fear of what is yet to come in the weeks and months ahead.         Our town here in Enid, Oklahoma seems to be about a week or two behind places like New York, Detroit, and other major hubs where the corona virus has hit hard. Here things are slowly trickling in. Everyone lost their minds two weeks ago and bought up all the canned goods, dry goods, and cleaning products they could find (and then some), but since then, there really wasn't a huge change to our way of life here until just a few days ago when all public and private schools were shut down for the remainder o...
